What is R-Value
The R-value measures resistance to heat flow and is determined by the thickness and density of the insulation. The higher the R-Value, the greater the product’s insulating power and the more opportunity you have to save energy and money on your heating and cooling bills.
Calculating your need is as easy as 1, 2, 3!
Attic length x attic width = Total area
Total area ÷ ft2 per package = Number of packages required
Installation Tips
Stay safe and clean while insulating. Before you begin your project, it is important to have the proper protective gear.
1. Face Mask: Fiberglass, dust or dirt in the attic can be an irritant – ensure you are wearing a properly fitted MSHA-approved, disposable dust respirator while installing any insulation and while working in the attic.
2. Gloves and Goggles: Wear gloves, goggles, pants and a long-sleeved shirt while insulating to minimize contact with material and for comfort and easy clean-up.
