More and more consumers have heard about the benefits of LED lighting, such as long life and energy savings. The initial upfront cost or poor quality of low-cost options, though, has kept many from enjoying the advantages. Those concerns are now gone, thanks to the LED lighting innovations that have taken place over the last few years.
Sylvania’s lineup of products includes high-quality lighting solutions that last up to 10 years for all around the home, inside and out, at cost-effective prices. Compared to similar LED products, cost savings here can hover between 50 to 70 per cent. These products also have the traditional shape and deliver the superior lighting that consumers know and enjoy, making them a great replacement for compact fluorescents.
“Consumers are used to sacrificing quality for cost. With our Sylvania 10-Year LED products, they don’t have to when it comes to lighting their home,” said Alfred LaSpina, LED product group manager, LEDVANCE.
“Now, you can install exceptional LED lighting throughout the home that will last up to 10 years and save on electricity bills, without having to break the bank. Given we’ve been around for over 100 years, Sylvania is a brand many people have grown up with in their homes. We take that honour very seriously, and with our 10-Year LED Portfolio, we can light up this generation and the next into the future.”
With the contractor in mind, Sylvania A19 LEDs in a new, large eight-pack configuration replace 60-watt traditional bulbs, but use only 8.5 watts, respectively. They provide instant-on lighting, last up to 10 years with a rated life of up to 11,000 hours (L70) and are available in the traditional 2700K colour (soft white).
The large eight-pack SKU is most convenient on the jobsite and can be installed in most homes and businesses that use a standard, medium-base bulb. These bulbs can be installed in indoor ceiling fixtures, and they are suitable for damp locations, so they can also be installed in UL-approved outdoor fixtures.
Unlike many similar products on the market, these Sylvania bulbs can also be installed in totally enclosed fixtures. When installing, please do not use with dimmers. Also, these bulbs deliver energy savings of up to 88 per cent compared to incandescent light bulbs; are RoHS compliant; contain no mercury, lead or other hazardous materials; and emit no UV or IR radiation.
